RAGNAROK-MVP CHAMPION GUIDE

MVP-ing is one of the most exciting parts of the so called game “Ragnarok”. It simply means hunting boss monster in the game to get good equipment for your character. There are 12 characters in game and only few of them can do boss hunting, the likes are Creator, Paladin, Wizard, Sniper. The most effective for me is Champion. Well Champions can do more damage than creator these days, the question is why, right? To make it short, almost 80% of boss monsters has 40 or lower VIT points and that makes a no-no for creators since they rely on AD for main skill on boss hunting and AD depends on how high the def/vit of the target. And that gives the Champions a slot to do more hunting than them, with the good mixing of stats and with average equipment your dream will come true to face some fierce boss in game. I know that this is not a rare guide on how to do boss hunting, but let me share what I learned from my friends like sharing our stats for hunting boss as shown on the picture above. And yes before I forget this guide is only for Ragnarok Pre-Renewal since I can’t find a good server to play 3^rd job yet aside from iRO.

Let’s start with the Stats:

STR = you’ll need more of this, because this is the main damage producer for Asura Strike. I’ll recommend you get 120 total including buffs or foods.

AGI = This is useless for boss hunting, but in pvp yes it is important specially if you’re practicing 1 vs 1 champion battle. But forget about it we’re here to do some boss hunting. :P

VIT = It depends if you want to sacrifice either your sp pool which is the second damage producer or you want to sacrifice the casting time that makes you wait before Asura Strike hits.

INT = As I mentioned above this is the secondary damage producer for Asura Strike. Put your remaining stat if you’re done on deciding if you will put some vit or a 99 dex.

DEX = This is one of the most important stats, why? The faster you cast the faster you kill. I recommend to put 80-99 on this one.

LUK = Just think that this stat doesn’t exist.

I know it is an average equipment for boss hunting, well, I can make that better if I’m not in a rush making this guide though.

Headgear : Flying Evil Wing (Incubus Card) but much better if it’s +9 with Carat Card.

Midgear : Sunglasses [1] (Incubus Card) well any slotted midgears will do.

Lowergear: Gang’s Scarf is a best choice.

Armor : Diabolous Robe [1] (Porcellio Card)

Shield : Valkyrie Shield [1] (Alice Card)

Garment : Diabolous Manteau [1] (Giant Whisper Card or Raydric Card) well a proxy will make it much better but it’s kinda expensinve in my server so I’ll make another guide with a complete set next time :D

Shoes : Diabolous Shoes [1] (Sohee Card) A Variant Shoes will be a best choice but it’s expensive as well, need to do more hunting to buy that freakin’ shoes.

Accessories : Diabolus Ring [1] 2x (Mantis and Phen Card) Vesper Core02 can be an option too!

Weapon : Any high attack mace or fist with 3x Abyssmal Knight Card or 2x Abyssmal Knight 1x Minorous Card.

With this equipment I know that it lacks HP to tank those boss monsters but guess what? I know someone would love to company you in your journey and a High Priest will be a great partner since it has Assumptio.

So let’s jump in and check what those equipment's can do!

Here’s what those equipments can do. I wish I had a dex, vit, int and str foods for more damage output. But thanks to my friends who joined me on this journey, well Satan Morocc is a hell of an MVP and is very hard to defeat using an average champ, so I needed help to conquer this guy. But I was able to give him 200k EF without lex and any good buffs aside from the gypsy’s dance.
